Montana at Designers' Saturday 2010

Montana challenges the open space at Designers’ Saturday 2010.

Montana is a challenge – a challenge to express oneself creatively and to create your personal interior design. Montana can create rooms and partitions and by that change existing frames. Montana invites to play – with different depths, with open or closed spaces, with practical functionality and with creative and different expressions.

Montana is based on designer Peter J. Lassen’s philosophy to create freedom to change the physical frames and the emotional expressions of a room as time and needs change.

The flexible Montana shelving system is the same as in 1982, the year when Peter J. Lassen designed it. It consists of 42 basic units which are available in 4 depths and 46 lacquer colours. And still – Montana constantly develops the concept adding new components and details. In 2010 Montana presented a number of units for storage of TV hi-fi as well as two specially developed loudspeakers to be perfectly integrated in the Montana units forming a synthesis between Danish design and Danish quality sound. Sound and music contributes to personalize a room – Montana shows how in Langenthal.

When it is time for experience and enjoyment and your legs are tired, Montana provides the Verner Panton series of VP chairs  - the Tivoli chair, which is Verner Panton’s very first chair design developed for the Tivoli amusement park in Copenhagen in 1955, as well as the VP Bar, VP Lounge, VP Kitchen, and VP Kids.
