VP Lounge
Verner Panton designed the Tivoli chair for a restaurant in Tivoli, Copenhagen, in 1955. The VP Lounge chair was designed on the basis of Verner Panton’s written thoughts about other models of the Tivoli Chair.
The VP Lounge chair can be used in lounge areas, in the living room, on the terrace or in the garden. • The chair is produced with a frame of stainless, polished steel. The seat is woven with strings of polyurethane, reinforced with a nylon core. • The VP Lounge is hand-woven and each chair uses 110 metres of string. It takes a professional weaver approx. 2 hours to make one chair. • The chairs can be stacked on top of each other, up to six at a time. • The VP Lounge chair is available in 12 colours, and can also be made in colours of the customer’s choice for orders of at least 50 chairs.
